Fiona Bruce sees what the viewers of BBC Antique Road Show does not see.
She is right most people bring along tat, pure tat.
I see it every day in my side of the business.
People believe if it was owned by someone else in their family and it is old, it must be antique and valuable.
How far from the truth.
Anger as Fiona Bruce accuses Antiques Roadshow fans of bringing 'tat' to the programme
Well I am a fan of Fiona Bruce and thinks she is a breath of fresh air, just what the Antique Road Show needs. Congratulations BBC on your choice of the presenter.

Well I am a fan of Fiona Bruce and thinks she is a breath of fresh air, just what the Antique Road Show needs. Congratulations BBC on your choice of the presenter.
Presenter Fiona Bruce says: "The Antiques Roadshow isn't just about antiques - it's history, beauty and drama all wrapped up in one."
The Antiques Roadshow records programmes across the UK, throughout the year, with some of Britain's leading antiques and fine arts specialists. Recording dates for 2013 are as follows and entry to our valuation days is free. The doors will be open from 9.30am to 4.30pm and as long as you are in the queue by 4.30pm you will see an expert. Please click on the venue links for details of the locations.
If you have a large piece of furniture or other big item, you can send details and photographs to the Antiques Roadshow. It may be possible to arrange for them to look at the item in advance and organise transportation to the venue.

Vuillard was one of the leading French post-impressionists.
John Constable (1776-1837)
Constable was one of the major English landscape painters of the 19th century.
The only constable I have seen in an antique shop was when Charles Hanson visited my shop in Southport and placed a Policeman's Helmet on his head in the Nov/Dec 2013 Antique Road Trip Show.

Fiona Bruce, 50, she does not look a day over 40, now into her seventh year presenting the show, lived at Heswall, Wirral, from the age of four to 10 years.
“This is the first time that I have hosted the Roadshow from Liverpool, although I did one show at Port Sunlight in 2012,” she said.
“While there, the mother of my school friend Susan Rustrick came along to return a book of mine that had been at their house for about 40 years.
“My father worked for Unilever and initially we lived in Port Sunlight, before moving to Delavor Road, in Heswall.
“I clearly recall living there, the road leading down to the Dee estuary, walking our dogs along the Wirral Way disused railway line and visiting North Wales.
“I was at Gayton Primary School, when the head teacher was Mr Rowland, and my brothers were at Caldy and West Kirby Grammar Schools.”
Fiona said she had been honoured to take over presenting Antiques Roadshow from Michael Aspel.
“As a child I’d watched it with the family and I love it as all life is here. There’s humour, excitement, human stories and genuine revelations,” she said.
“My passion is now looking round junk shops and visiting local auctions - I have filled a whole house with stuff.”
When I told Fiona Bruce yesterday at the Antique Road Show that over 54,000 have viewed her fan club thread on the QLOCAL WEB SITE...... she was in shock.
